Medium oil alkyds are easily air Dried and are readily soluble in aliphatic solvents. These are suitable for a wide range of paint products with applications in Decorative, maintenance and contractor paints where excellent gloss and good durability are required. Short oil alkyds are typically Oven dried with the solubility limited to aromatic and other non-aliphatic solvents. It is also available in long oil and short oil.
